Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
In our Midweek Advent Worship service this week we heard the story of Jonah and reflected upon the clothes of repentance (sack cloth and ashes) that the King of Nineveh wore. This familiar Old Testament story helped to underscore the importance of confession of our sins and turning to Jesus for forgiveness, especially in this season of Advent.
